Pudding was born in 1997. We got him from Shaldra in Frederick, Maryland. Shaldra, run by Kyle Sibonovic is known for breeding champion whippets. Pud comes from a good lineage and even at 12 is very athletic.
Georgie (1998 -
but from a different lineage. She was a lot smaller than Pud and
was a great soccer player in her younger days.
Evie (b 2008) came from Pembrokeshire in west Wales. She was bred by Linda and John of Hydfron. Though Evie is a true Welsh dragon (well she can be sometimes) she can trace her bloodlines through to Sportingfields Kennel in Virginia.
Whippets, as a breed, can be traced back to 18th century England. They are about 1/3 the size of a greyhound . Bursts of speed of 30mph are not unusual. Some believe whippets to be a combination of greyhound and jack russell.
